Tears of a Woman
When was the last time that you shed a tear? Well, when I became a mom my tear ducts seem to have become quite active. When I had my bout of post-partum blues, I cried at simply anything! Dirty diapers, a soppy movie, abandoned kids in the streets, not having time for my kids, spending time with my kids. I never thought I could shed those tears at a drop of a hat!
Sounds ironic, because when I was a little girl it took a lot before I cried about anything. I never cried when I fell off a bike and grazed my knee, I picked myself up, went to the medicine cabinet and cleaned my bruises with betadine. I never cried when some kid in school hurt or made fun of me, I fight back! I thought crying was for babies then. But as I grew older sometimes when I feel hurt and frustrated about life or work and I cannot do anything about it, crying does me some good. It's as if those tears cleanses my heart and soul of the hurt I was feeling. Of course, when someone dries those tears for me then that makes it all the more better!
Here's a lovely e-mail I got about tears of a woman.
A little boy asks his mother:
"Why do you cry ?"
"Because I am a woman." she answers.
"I don’t understand," he says.
His mother hugs him and says : " and you never will"
Later the little boy asked his father :
"Why does mommy cry?"
"All women cry for no reason", is all that his father could answer him.
When he became an adult he asked God :
"God, why do women cry so easily?"
And God Answered :"When I created woman, she needed to be special.
I created her shoulders strong enough to bear the weight of the world…
And soft enough to be comfortable."
"I gave her the strength to give life,
The kind that accepts the rejection that often comes from children. "
"I gave her the strength to allow her to go on when everybody else give up.
The kind that takes care of her family, despite illness and fatigue."
"I gave her the sensitivity to love her children unconditionally,
Even when they have hurt her deeply."
"I gave her the strength to endure her husband in his faults
And to stay at his side without weakening"
"And finally, I gave her tears to shed whenever she needs them to be shed."
"You see my son, the beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, nor is it in her face or in the way she does her hair.
The beauty of a woman resides in her eyes.
It is the door to her heart ;
the door where Love resides.
And it is often through her tears that you see her heart go by."

Lovely, thoughtful post :)
“What’s the tear for?” the angel asked.
The Lord said, “The tear is her way of expressing her joy, her sorrow, her
disappointment, her pain, her loneliness, her grief and her pride.”
The angel was impressed. “You are a genius, Lord. You thought of everything
for this one. You even created the tear!”
The Lord looked at the angel and smiled and said, “I’m afraid you are wrong
again, my friend. I created the woman, but she created the tear.”
