Ain't no mountain high enough

I remembered a time when I was watching a movie at home with my eldest daughter. I think it was the movie "The Day After Tomorrow". We were in the part where Jake Gyllenhaal, playing the son of Dennis Quaid, was stuck in New York and the storm was coming. My daughter asked me if that happened to us will I come and get her and brave the storm? I told her, if I had to move mountains to get to her --I will...and that is a promise!

I guess, we, parents have tried to move mountains, in one way or another, for our children at least once in our lifetime. Those mountains could be in forms of small problems our little angels encounter in their daily life or it could really be a problem as tall as Mount Everest! But we know if the need arises we will conquer our fear of heights and brave the mountains. They only had to holler for help.

I guess this role of mine extends to the office as well, I handle 12 people each day and sometimes I feel as if I am sitting atop a mountain looking at the big expanse of water and land checking if they are lost and going the right way...a lifeguard of sorts? LOL!

But there are times when it gets lonely up there and I get lost too! I look around and no one is there sitting beside me. I guess it is at moments like these that I look up and see that someone "up there" is smiling down, watching ME at the big expanse of water and land, checking if I am lost or if I am going the right way...my personal "life" guard and He says..."I will keep you safe, I love you." And I feel better all of a sudden.
